Sixtmühle is a district of the Emskirchen market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The hamlet is located on the Mühlbach, which is a left tributary of the Middle Aurach . Approx. The Babenberg rises 0.75 km to the northwest ( 370  m above sea level ). The place is on the state road 2244 , which leads to Emskirchen (0.7 km southwest) or to a junction of the federal road 8 (0.2 km northeast).

history

The mill that still stands today was built in 1766.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Sixtmühle belonged to Emskirchen. The mill had the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste and jurisdiction office Emskirchen as the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, the Sixtmühle was given house number 53 in Emskirchen.

As part of the community edict, Sixtmühle was assigned to the Emskirchen tax district, which was formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the municipality of Emskirchen, founded in 1813 .
