The 2008 NCAA Division I FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) football season, or the college football season, begins on August 28th, 2008,[1] progresses through the regular season and bowl season, and (aside from all-star exhibition games that will follow) will conclude with the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) National Championship Game in Miami Gardens, Florida on January 8, 2009, featuring the #1 and #2 teams determined by the BCS Ranking to decide the National Champion.[2]
