AD: Rebellen und Martyrer (also The Bible - How It Goes On ; Original Title: AD: The Bible Continues , English literally: anno domini: The Bible continues ) is an American television series that was first broadcast on Easter Sunday in 2015 , April 5th. The series is a direct continuation of the plot of the mini-series The Bible , which comes from the same production, but was broadcast on the History channel. The characters' performers are also different. While the series was able to celebrate a strong debut, the ratings developed so far back during the season that the broadcasting station decided to stick with the material of a miniseries and not order a second season.
A German-language first broadcast was from November 7, 2016 on RTL Passion, a free TV broadcast from December 14, 2017 on SuperRTL.
