AJR are an American indie pop - Trio consisting of three brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Met.

Band history

The three Met brothers grew up in New York. They started making music together in 2007 when the youngest, Jack, was nine and the oldest, Adam, was 17. Later they also appeared as street musicians with cover songs. In 2013 they posted a video of their own song I'm Ready on the Internet. The song contains a sample of the cartoon character SpongeBob as she says I'm Ready . You wrote to all sorts of celebrities on Twitter . The Australian singer Sia Furler , who brought her to the Australian label Liberator Music , attracted attention . She also referred them to Steve Greenberg, former chairman of Columbia Records . Then she signed the major label Warner in the USA and they appeared as the opening act for musicians such as Lindsey Stirling , The Wanted and Demi Lovato .

When I'm Ready was released in the USA in mid-2014, it reached number 65 in the official singles charts and reached platinum status . The trio was even more successful in Australia, where the song advanced into the top 5 and got double platinum. The official YouTube video has been viewed over 20 million times on the Internet.

This was followed by the EPs I'm Ready and Infinity and in March 2015 the debut album Living Room . All three made it onto the Heatseekers charts , but missed the official charts. It wasn't until the end of 2016 that AJR got back with the song Weak . In their homeland, they weren't that successful, but they entered the charts across Europe at the beginning of 2017 and reached number 39 in Germany and number 58 in the British charts.
