Aida Loos (born November 17, 1980 in Tehran as Aida Hossein ) is an Austrian cabaret artist and actress of Persian origin .

Life

Aida Loos came to Vienna with her family at the age of 4 because her parents wanted to protect her and her two sisters from the Islamic revolution; In 1991 a third sister was added. Her father was a structural engineer and civil engineer, her mother is a businesswoman ( MBA ).

Compared to "Zeit", Aida describes herself as a "wild and angry child."

Aida graduated from the Vienna Business School HAK II in Vienna. Her artist name Loos is based on the architect Adolf Loos: "I was also very interested in the minimalist approach of the architect Adolf Loos, how he makes great things out of little space with reduced resources."

Aida Loos speaks five languages ​​(German, English, Farsi, Dutch, French), is married and has two daughters (* 2013, * 2014).

Career

She began training at the University of Vienna module (International Course of Hotel Management) and completed it in 2003; then she went to the Netherlands to do her bachelor's degree at the Stenden Hogeschool in Leeuwarden .

In 2006 she began studying acting at the 1st filmacademy in Vienna. After the stage maturity (parity examination) she first plays supporting roles on television and then makes a short stop at the radio. In 2009 Radio Arabella was looking for "Vienna's greatest radio talent" and found it in Aida Loos. Then she played as a freelance actress in several theater productions. In addition, she wrote her first mini-solo program "Hartes Loos". With this she went public on January 19, 2012 in Garage X on Petersplatz in Vienna. It added to a full program and celebrated its premiere on June 15, 2012 at the Vienna Schauspielhaus.

Aida Loos took part in the ORF show "The Great Comedy Chance" broadcast in January 2014 and made it into the top 3 in the final.

On April 13, 2014, Aida Loos played the opening act for Kaya Yanar in the Vienna City Hall. In the same year she was nominated for the "Austrian Cabaret Award" in the "Audience Award" category. In May 2015 she went on tour in Germany with the American comedian Max Amini and played his opening act in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.

On April 8, 2016, the premiere of her second cabaret solo program “Achtung! Finished! Loos! ”At the Akzent Theater in Vienna.

In April 2016 she was also seen on the new TV comedy formats "Zum Brüller" ( Servus TV ) and "Sehr witzig !?" ( Puls 4 ). In the first appearance in the fifth season of “Are you deppert!” (Pulse 4), which was broadcast in May 2017, she satirized Maria Vassilakou , Josefine Mutzenbacher and Wolfgang Sobotka . The post with Sobotka was cut out in the online version due to interventions.

Since October 2018 she has also appeared together with Gerald Fleischhacker in the monthly comedy satire show Die Tafelrunde on ORF III .

Aida Loos has been parodying well-known voices in Ö3-Wecker since 2015 (e.g. Maria Vassilakou , Lou Lorenz-Dittlbacher , Heinz-Christian Strache ). In May 2017 she was part of the Ö3 cabaret show every morning for a week with excerpts from “Attention! Finished! Loos! ” Can be heard from Robert Kratky in the Ö3-Wecker, in August 2017 she also started her column “ Confessions of a difficult-to-educate mother ” in the Ö3-Wecker .

Again and again she also takes on the moderation of various events (e.g. Ennstal Classic) or gives readings (e.g. "Emigration Day" by Klaus Oppitz). Since 2016 she has been writing her own songs in the Wienerlied style with Johannes Glück (including the satirical song Norbert! Norbert ! , on the occasion of the 2016 Federal President's runoff election). In autumn 2018 her first music album "Glücksloos" with satirical songs was released, which she recorded together with Johannes Glück.

The third cabaret solo program Filterloos started on March 22, 2019 at Theater Akzent in Vienna.

In September 2019, Aida Loos parodied Christiane Hörbiger , who had previously caused a sensation in a support video for Sebastian Kurz . The parody was shared thousands of times on Facebook and YouTube and went viral. Shortly afterwards she also parodied Ursula Stenzel , who took part in a parade of the Identitarian Movement and gave a speech at the final rally, and Philippa Strache.
