Alberto Moreno Pérez (born July 5, 1992 in Seville ) is a Spanish football player who has been under contract with the Spanish first division club Villarreal since 2019 . He has also played for the Spanish national team since 2013 .

Club career

Sevilla FC

Moreno began his career as a footballer with Sevilla FC in his hometown and in 2011 rose from youth to Sevilla's second team, which is called Sevilla Atlético and is part of Segunda División B.

On April 8, 2012, he made his La Liga debut in the 1-0 defeat by Athletic Bilbao when he came on for Manu del Moral in the 78th minute and in February 2013 he rose fully from the second team the first team.

On October 4, 2013, Moreno extended his contract with Sevilla FC until 2018. On October 20, 2013, he scored his first league goal for Sevilla when he scored the interim 2-0 against Real Valladolid. The game ended 2-2.

Moreno made his international debut for Sevilla FC in the UEFA Europa League in a 4-1 win in the qualifying round first leg . With a further eleven appearances, he had a share in the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League win.

Liverpool FC

On August 16, 2014, Liverpool announced that Moreno had signed a contract with them. Nine days later he made his debut for Liverpool and in the league in a 3-1 loss to Manchester City . On October 31, 2014 he scored the 3-0 final score in the league game against Tottenham Hotspur and was able to celebrate his first goal for Liverpool.

National team career

Moreno won the U-21 European Football Championship 2013 in Israel with the Spanish U-21 national team . He was also elected to the tournament's all-star team. For the senior national team he made his debut on October 15, 2013, in the 2-0 win over Georgia Moreno played over 90 minutes. He was also one of Vicente del Bosque's preliminary 30-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil . Like six other players, he was not part of the 23-man squad that contested the World Cup in Brazil.
