Albrechtice (German Ulbersdorf , previously Albertsdorf , Alberštorf , Olbrstorff , Albrechticze ) is a desert in the Okres Most in the Czech Republic . The Lom ČSA open- cast lignite mine is located on the site of the village . Albrechtice is managed as a basic settlement unit of the town of Horní Jiřetín .

geography

Albrechtice was located at the foot of the Ore Mountains on the edge of the lake meadow (Komořanské jezero) in the North Bohemian Basin .

Neighboring towns were Lniště ( Flachsgrund ) and Černice ( Tschernitz ) in the north, Horní Jiřetín ( Obergeorgenthal ), Čtrnáct Dvorců ( Vierzehnhöfen ) and Dolní Jiřetín ( Niedergeorgenthal ) in the northeast, Kopisty ( Kopitz ) in the east, Souš ( Tschausch ) and Komořany ( Kommern ) in the southeast, Ervěnice ( Seestadtl ) and Dřínov ( Bartelsdorf ) in the south, Kundratice ( Kunnersdorf ) and Podhůří ( Schimberg ) in the southwest, Jezeří ( Eisenberg ) in the west and Červená Jáma ( Rothe Grube ) and Mikulovice ( Nickelsdorf ) in the northwest.

history

The village was first mentioned in 1352 as Alberti villa , it is probably named after Albrecht von Seeberg ( Albert ze Žeberka ). In the 1350s to 1370s it was owned by Nevlas ze Rvenic , who at that time also used the predicate de Zee and de Ysemberg . The village could therefore also be a foundation of the lords of Ervěnice ( z Rvenic ), the builders of the Eisenberg castle in Jezeří .

In 1513 the childless nobleman Sigmund Smolík ze Slavic bequeathed his fortune, including the village, to his brother-in-law Nikolaus Hochhauser von Hochhaus. Georg von Hochhaus had the Alberg ( Alberk ) fortress built before 1565 , which probably stood together with a farm in the middle of the village. After the uprising , its property was confiscated and acquired by Wilhelm von Lobkowicz in 1623. Ulbersdorf remained in the possession of the Lobkowitz family until 1848.

From the beginning, the residents lived mostly from agriculture. In the 19th century, lignite mining began in the Guido Lyell mine. Until the middle of the 19th century, Ulbersdorf remained subject to Neundorf-Eisenberg.

After the abolition of patrimonial Ulbersdorf formed from 1849 a district of the community Neundorf an der Biela in the judicial district of Görkau . From 1868 the village belonged to the Chomutov District . From 1870 the Aussig-Komotau railway crossed the village, but there was no stop in Ulbersdorf. In 1879 Ulbersdorf broke away from Neundorf and formed a separate community with the districts of Eisenberg and Tschernitz . At the end of the 19th century, the name of the extinct Alberg fortress was mistakenly transferred to the remains of a medieval castle on the mountain spur north of the village . Much of the male population had been employed in mining since the late 19th century. The village had the most inhabitants in 1930, when 873 people lived in 133 houses. Tschernitz was changed to Gebirgsneudorf during this time . After the Munich Agreement , the community was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Komotau district until 1945 . After the end of the Second World War, Albrechtice came back to Czechoslovakia. Most of the German-speaking residents were then expelled. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960, the municipality was reclassified from Okres Chomutov to Okres Most . Albrechtice is between 1981 and 1983 the lignite - opencast fallen victim. Its corridors have been part of Horní Jiřetín since July 1, 1983 .

In the village was the All Saints Church, built in the 16th century with crypts of the Hochhauser family from 1572, 1578 and 1585. The baptismal font from the 17th century is now in the town hall of Most , the passion column from the 16th century in Mariánské Radčice .
