The  soccer amateur league Rhineland 1954/55  was the 3rd season of the 1st amateur league , the predecessor of the  Verbandsliga Rheinland , also called the Rhineland League. This league represented the substructure of the II. Southwest Division until 1963 and was thus third-class in the overall league hierarchy.

Rhineland champion as early as the pre-season of VfL Trier , this time also the promotion round to II. Division Southwest won and rising. Runner-up SV Niederlahnstein took part in the German amateur soccer championship in 1955 as a Rhineland representative and failed in the group stage. The VfB Lützel , the FC Urbar and SV Wittlich had to dismount after this season in the second amateur league. For the following season 1955/56 came the Spvgg Andernach , the SV Adler Niederfischbach , the TuS Konz and the VfL Bad Ems as promoters from the 2nd amateur leagues, and from the II. Division as relegated from SC 07 Bad Neuenahr .
