André Onana (born April 2, 1996 in Nkol Ngok , Center ) is a Cameroonian football goalkeeper who plays for the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam .

Career

Onana began his career at the Samuel Eto'o Academy in Douala . In 2010 he was signed by FC Barcelona and was a member of the La Masia youth academy for five years . As a youth player , he played all six Group F games in the UEFA Youth League in the 2014/15 season .

In 2015 he was signed by Ajax Amsterdam for 150,000 euros and given a contract valid until June 30, 2018. This has now been extended to 2021. After playing 39 league games for Jong Ajax, the second team from Amsterdam in the Eerste Divisie , the second highest division in the Netherlands, from February 9, 2015 (24th matchday) to 12 August 2016 (2nd matchday) , he made his debut in the Eredivisie on August 20, 2016 (3rd matchday) in the 1: 2 defeat of the first team in the home game against Willem II Tilburg .
