Jurriën David Norman Timber (born June 17, 2001 in Utrecht as Jurriën David Norman Maduro ) is a Dutch football player . The center-back has been with Ajax Amsterdam since his youth and is part of the second team. He is also a young Dutch national player.

Career

society

Jurriën Timber started playing football in Utrecht at sportvereniging Door Vriendschap Sterk Utrecht and then joined the Feyenoord Football School in Rotterdam . He later moved to the football school of arch-rivals Ajax Amsterdam and made his second-team debut on November 2, 2018 in the 2-1 defeat in the Dutch second division at SC Cambuur .

National team

Jurriën Timber played once for the Dutch U15 team , three times for the Dutch U16 team and took part with the Dutch U17 national team in the 2018 European Championship in England , where the Dutch won the title. With the exception of the last group game against Serbia , Timber was used in every game and scored the interim 1-0 lead for his team in the final against Italy , which was won on penalties. Jurriën Timber completed a total of 13 missions for the U17. He currently plays for the Dutch U19 national team .

Jurriën Timber was born on June 17, 2001 in Utrecht under the name Jurriën David Norman Maduro . After the father left the family when Jurriën was seven, he and his twin brother Quinten, who also plays soccer, took their mother's last name and have been called Timber ever since .
