Andrea Favilli (born May 17, 1997 in Pisa ) is an Italian football player who is currently under contract with the first division club CFC Genoa . The striker is a former Italian junior international.
Career
society
Favilli comes from the youth academy of AS Livorno and moved to Juventus Turin in February 2015 in a loan shop , for which he was mainly used in the Primavera. He made his league debut on February 7, 2016 in a 2-0 away win against Frosinone Calcio , when he came on for Álvaro Morata in the 93rd minute . This was his only use for the first team of the Bianconeri in his one and a half year loan.
For the 2016/17 season Favilli moved on loan to the second division Ascoli Calcio . He scored his first goal on December 13, 2016 in a 2-1 home win against Virtus Entella . At the end of the season he had scored eight goals in 30 league games. Ascoli signed Favilli after the season for a transfer fee of 3 million euros. After scoring five goals in the first twelve games of the season in the following season 2017/18 by mid-November 2017 , he tore a cruciate ligament in the league game against Parma Calcio , which ended his season prematurely.
For the 2018/19 season, Andrea Favilli moved to the first division team Juventus Turin for a transfer fee of 7.5 million euros , where he signed a five-year contract. Just two months later, he was loaned out to league rivals CFC Genoa , who paid a fee of 5 million euros for his services. A purchase option of 7 million euros was also negotiated. Favilli made his debut on September 2, 2018 in the 5-3 away defeat against US Sassuolo for Rossoblu . Also in this season he was plagued by injuries and only made 6 appearances for Genoa's first team in the entire season. Nevertheless, Genoa signed the striker firmly in February.
National team
Favilli made twelve appearances for the Italian U-19 national team from 2015 to 2016 , in which he scored five goals. With the U19 he also took part in the U-19 European Championship 2016 in Germany , where he reached the final with his home country.
He was part of the selection that made Italy third in the 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Korea .
