Andreas Drugge (born January 20, 1983 ) is a Swedish football player . The striker , who made his debut for the Swedish U-21 national team in 2002 , has played his previous career in Sweden and Norway.

Career

Career start at IF Elfsborg

Drugge started playing football at Brämhults IF . From there he moved in 1999 via Mariedals IK to the youth team at IF Elfsborg . There he was noticed by the people in charge of Svenska Fotbollförbundet , who appointed him to various junior national teams. During the Allsvenskan season in 2000 , coach Bengt-Arne Strömberg brought him to the first team for the first time, so that he made his debut in the Allsvenskan during the season . In the following year he was irregularly part of the squad of the team that won the Svenska Cup , but scored his first two league goals during the season. Before the start of the 2002 season , he came under selection coach Torbjörn Nilsson for his first assignments in the U-21 selection.

Although Drugge had established itself in the IF Elfsborg squad, however, as a substitute for Lars Nilsson , Fredrik Berglund and Hans Berggren, he played most of his season games under the newly signed coach Anders Grönhagen as a substitute. Therefore, the club awarded him for the second half of 2003 to the Falkenbergs FF , who fought to stay in the second-rate Superettan . At the end of the season he returned to IF Elfsborg, where he saw a new chance under the coach Magnus Haglund , who is now there .

At the beginning of the 2005 season , Drugge barely got a chance and played only four games as a substitute by the end of June. Therefore, there was another loan deal, this time he joined the Norwegian club FK Tønsberg , which is looked after by his compatriot Reine Almqvist , in the second-class Adeccoligaen . At the end of the season he missed relegation with the team and returned to Sweden.

Breakthrough in the second division and return to the Allsvenskan

In December 2005, Drugge announced his move to Degerfors IF in the Superettan. For the traditional club, he played all 30 league games in the 2006 Superettan season and contributed to staying up with six goals this season. In the following season he had his breakthrough when he was able to achieve 13 goals this season. As fifth on the list of goalscorers, he led the team around Magnus Tappert and Shpetim Hasani to eighth place in the table.

Drugge drew attention to himself through his scoring danger and the first division side Trelleborgs FF , with whom he signed a three-year contract, signed him at the end of the year. At his new employer, Drugge again showed his goal danger. As a regular player, he played 26 league games in which he scored seven goals and thus sat ahead of Magnus Andersson at the top of the club's internal goalscorer list. At the side of Rasmus Bengtsson , Kristian Haynes and Joakim Sjöhage , he reached tenth place in the table. In the following years he was one of the club's most accurate players along with Sjöhage and Fredrik Jensen and helped him to reach ninth and fifth place respectively.

Shortly after the end of the 2010 season , Drugge announced his move within Allsvenskan to IFK Göteborg in November , with which he signed a three-year contract. In his first season at his new club, he was unable to build on his scoring threats from previous years, so that he did not earn a permanent place with a goal win and placed himself behind Tobias Hysén , Hannes Stiller and Stefan Selakovic on the offensive . After only one season, he left the club and joined local rivals BK Häcken .

At his new club, Drugge did not get beyond the role of a supplementary player, especially with Abdul Majeed Waris, who scored 23 goals as the top scorer in the first division, and René Makondele , who also scored double-digit goals with twelve goals , he had strong competition on the offensive. Accordingly, he was looking for a new club after the end of the season and moved within Gothenburg to the first division relegated GAIS , where he signed a contract valid until the end of 2014 with the option of an extension of one season.
