Anthony Peluso (born April 18, 1989 in King City , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Bakersfield Condors from the American Hockey League since July 2019 and plays there in the position of right winger .
Career
Peluso began his career in the 2005/06 season with the Erie Otters in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League , before joining Sault Ste during the 2007/08 season within the league . Marie Greyhounds changed and was committed in the following season by league rivals Brampton Battalion .
In March 2009, the St. Louis Blues signed the Canadian they had previously drafted in the 2007 NHL Draft . In the 2009/2010 season, the attacker completed his first professional season and was active for both the Peoria Rivermen ( farm team of the Blues ) in the American Hockey League and the Alaska Aces in the East Coast Hockey League . In the following three years, Peluso was able to establish himself with the Rivermen before he was signed by the Winnipeg Jets in January 2013 . There the right-handed shooter made his debut in the National Hockey League in the 2012/13 season and has been a regular with the Jets since the 2013/14 season after an injury break . After the striker spent the entire 2016-17 season on the Manitoba AHL farm team , his expiring contract was not renewed after the end of the season. As a result, he joined the Washington Capitals as a free agent , with whom he fulfilled a one-year contract that was also not renewed in the summer of 2018. Similarly, Peluso moved to the Calgary Flames in August 2018 .
With the Flames, the attacker came, with the exception of four games, exclusively for the Stockton Heat farm team in the AHL. However, the free agent did not receive a follow-up contract in the summer of 2019, after which he signed a one-year contract with AHL club Bakersfield Condors in mid-July of the same year .
