Ashes

Ashrej ( Hebrew אַשְׁרֵי) is a Jewish prayer and part of two of the three daily prayers. It corresponds to the genre of a beatitude .

description

Aschrej joschwej wejtecha ("Happy are those who live in your house") is a prayer that is part of the prayers three times a day. So twice during the morning prayer ( Shacharit ) and once during the afternoon prayer ( Mincha ).

The threefold saying of this prayer is explained with the Talmud (Berachot 4b): There it says that it is particularly meritorious to say Psalm 145 three times a day. This gives a share in the "world to come".

The text consists of Ps 85.5  ELB , Ps 144.14  ELB to Ps 145.21  ELB . In the Hebrew original, the verses follow the Hebrew alphabet : the first verse begins with an aleph and the last verse with a taw . In some prayer books , the first letters of a verse are highlighted for clarity.

“Eternal progress to the residents of your house, you are always praising your deeds. ( Ps 84,5  OT )

The people stride to salvation, to whom it is so! The people for salvation, whose God is God! ( Ps 144.15  OT )

Thehilla von David:
I will exalt you, my God, O King, and I want to bless your name into the eternal future.
Every day I want to bless you, and I want to pronounce your name in praise of deeds until the eternal future.
God is great and exceedingly evident in deeds, but exploration is not great.
Gender after gender praises your works, and they proclaim your omnipotent deeds.
But I would like to express thoughtfully the beauty of your majesty's glory and the words of your miracles.
You speak of the irresistible nature of your fertility, but I would like to tell of your great deeds of uniform greatness,
so that you too may come forward with a thought of the fullness of your goodness and joyfully hear your soothing gentleness.
How granting and merciful God is, long patient and great in devotional love.
How God is to all and his mercy on all his works.
All your works pay homage to you, God, but those who devote themselves to you in love bless you.
You will be conscious of the honor due to your kingship, and you will express your omnipotence, to bring the sons of men the knowledge of his omnipotence rulings, but at the same time also the glory, the beauty of his kingship.
Your kingship is a kingship from all ages, and your rule is in every generation.
God is supportive for all who fall and lifts up for all who are bowed.
All eyes look to you waiting, and you give them their nourishment in their time,
yes, open your hand and satisfy all that lives, its desires.
God is righteous in all his ways, and full of devotional love in all his deeds.
God is near to all who call him, to all who call him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their pleadings and gives them salvation.
God guards all who love him, and he lets all the wicked perish.
May my mouth utter praise to God's deeds, so that all flesh may bless his holy name until the eternal future. ( Ps 145  OT ) "
