Psalm 149
The 149th psalm is a biblical psalm . Like the other psalms at the end of the psalter, it is a praise psalm.

The psalmist praises the Lord God because he cares for the afflicted church. Verses 5-9 express the expectation that God's people will participate in and carry out God's judgment on the world. The statement “as it is written” at the end of the Psalm (verse 9) probably refers to the words of judgment of the prophets .
