Psalm 95
The 95th psalm (according to Greek counting the 94th) is a psalm from the fourth book of psalms . It belongs to the genre of the "prophetic liturgy".

structure
The Old Testament scholar Hermann Gunkel structured the psalm as follows:

- Verses 6–7d: jubilation (with verse 6 as introduction)
- Verses 7-11: divine oracle : admonition and threat
- Verse 7: Introduction
- Verses 8-10: Countering the example of the past
Dating
The psalm can be dated to the time after the return from the Babylonian captivity , since one can read from it that the church rose against the rule of God because of its miserable circumstances.
