Psalm 135

The 135th psalm is a biblical psalm from the fifth book of the psalter . It was originally sung possibly on the occasion of the Passover festival , at which the liberation from Egypt was commemorated.

After a few general calls to praise God , from verse 5 onwards the great deeds of God in the creation of the world and throughout history are described. Verses 15-18, in which the uselessness of man-made images of gods is described, correspond largely to Psalm 115: 4-8 EU .
