Psalm 64

The 64th psalm is a biblical psalm from the second book of the psalter . It is a so-called David psalm . According to the Greek count of the Septuagint , which is also used by the Latin Vulgate , the psalm bears the number 63.

The psalmist is confronted with attacks, which are mainly expressed in the form of accusations and slander against his enemies. In the second part (from verse 8), however, the confidence is expressed that these attacks will fall back on their perpetrators, because God ensures justice.

The psalm shows clear parallels to Psalm 55 .
