Psalm 62
The Ps 62 (according to the Greek count 61) is a Ps David "and in the series lament classify an individual".
structure
Erhard S. Gerstenberger divides the psalm as follows:
- Verse 1: heading
- Verse 2f .: Annunciation
- Verse 4: censure
- Verse 5: accusation
- Verses 6-8: Annunciation
- Verses 9-13: Admonition
interpretation
The Old Testament scholar James Limburg sees the idea of God as a rock in the Psalm as central. Finally, this idea comes up in verses 3, 7, and 8. This idea of the rock appears later in the idea of Christ as the rock of the Church .
