The 37th psalm is a psalm of David from the first book of the psalter . According to the Vulgate count , it represents the 36th Psalm.

content

The psalm deals with the question of the apparent happiness of the wicked. He warns against being indignant about it, since God's answer is already fixed.

construction

The Hebrew text is structured so that every two verses make up a stanza. The beginnings of the individual stanzas follow the Hebrew alphabet . Thus the psalm belongs to the group of acrostic psalms.

reception
