The Aston Martin Vulcan is a racing car limited to 24 copies produced by the British car manufacturer Aston Martin . It was presented at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show .

history

The Vulcan was designed by Aston Martin's designer Marek Reichmann, based on the DB9 , among others . It is powered by Aston Martin's most powerful engine, a 7.0 liter V12 engine developing 611 kW (831 hp). The chassis is custom made by the Canadian company Multimec.

According to the manufacturer, the Vulcan has all the safety features required by the FIA ​​for racing. The vehicle is not regularly approved for road use. However, it can be provided by Ray Mallock Ltd. on request . be converted in such a way that it preserves this.

Trivia

With a lap time of 1: 15.5 minutes, the Aston Martin Vulcan was temporarily the fastest car on the “Eboladrome” test track run by the British television magazine The Grand Tour . In the first episode of season 3 (published January 18, 2019) he was replaced by the McLaren Senna with a lap time of 1: 12.9. In contrast to the Vulcan, this is even street legal.
