The Aston Martin DBRS9 is a racing car that has been built by Prodrive since 2005 . It is based on the Aston Martin DB9 and was developed according to the GT3 group regulations . The more modified and more expensive variant according to GT1 guidelines was named DBR9 .

The DBRS9 is based on the FIA regulations of the GT3 group and has some modifications compared to the road version. It has a roll cage and body panels made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic to reduce the vehicle's weight by 480 kilograms. Its 6-liter V12 engine develops 550 hp (410 kW) at 6250 rpm and has 20 percent more power than the road version. The maximum torque is, depending on the current Balance-of-Performance classification, around 540 Newton meters at 5500 rpm. The maximum speed is 7200 rpm. The vehicle has a 6-speed H shift that can be upgraded to a sequential shift.
The DBRS9 is for sale to customers at a price of £ 175,000.
Races
While the DBR9 is used by large teams in international motorsport, especially in the FIA GT championship and the Le Mans 24-hour race , the DBRS9 is used by smaller teams in national GT series such as the FIA GT3 European Championship or the ADAC GT Masters .
The Team Phoenix took the Aston Martin DBRS9 2007 in the BFGoodrich Endurance Championship . In the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring of the same year, the DBRS9 briefly led the field in the early stages of the race, but later retired with engine failure.
