The Aston Martin DBX is the first sport utility vehicle and the first five-seater from the British car manufacturer Aston Martin .
history
At the Geneva Motor Show 2015, Aston Martin presented the DBX Concept, a first look at an SUV model from the brand. The production model was officially presented on November 20, 2019 in Beijing . The first vehicles are to be handed over to customers from spring 2020. The “1913 Package” special model, limited to 500 units, will initially be available for the market launch.
For the vehicle a second Aston Martin factory in was from 2017 Welsh St. Athan built. Up to 5000 DBX are to be produced there annually.
With the DBX, Aston Martin is following the trend that luxury and sports car manufacturers are bringing an SUV onto the market. Other manufacturers include Porsche from 2002 with the Cayenne and from 2014 with the Macan , Bentley and Maserati from 2016 with the Bentayga and Levante , Lamborghini from 2018 with the Urus or Rolls-Royce from 2019 with the Cullinan .

Special models
DBX by Q
At the Geneva Motor Show 2020, Aston Martin's Q department was supposed to present the DBX as a special model. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the auto salon was canceled on February 28, 2020, which is why the premiere took place on March 4, 2020 at Aston Martin's main UK plant in Gaydon . The DBX by Q has a gray special paint and an interior made of carbon fiber laminate. No technical changes are made.
