In the 1994/95 season , the defender made his debut for the professional team of Pārdaugava in the International Hockey League , in which he remained pointless in twelve games and received eight penalty minutes. He spent the 1995/96 season with the city neighbor Juniors Riga in the East European Hockey League . The 1996/97 season bridged the Latvian at Stoczniowiec Gdańsk in the Polish Ekstraliga . He then played in the 1997/98 season for HK Spartak Moscow in the Russian Super League and the Finnish second division club Hermes Kokkola .

For the 1998/99 season Tribuncovs received a contract with Lukko Rauma from the SM-liiga , in which he scored a goal in 49 games and gave twelve templates. In the 1999/2000 season he played for the Crocodiles Hamburg in the 2nd Bundesliga and at his only station in North America during his entire career with the Tallahassee Tiger Sharks in the East Coast Hockey League , for which he was on the ice four times . In the 2000/01 season , the Latvian international scored 30 points in 47 games, nine of which were goals, for REV Bremerhaven in the 2nd Bundesliga. So he was able to recommend himself for a contract with the Berlin Capitals from the German Ice Hockey League . In his only DEL season he scored 24 points, nine of which were goals, in a total of 65 games. After the Capitals had to withdraw from the DEL for financial reasons, he left the club again in 2002.

The following season he started at Kärpät Oulu in the Finnish SM-liiga and finished it again in Sweden, but this time at Färjestad BK , with which he reached the playoff semi-finals. For the 2007/08 season , the two-time Olympian was signed by the Russian top club HK Lada Tolyatti . However, he left this after only ten season games and joined the Swedish representative MODO Hockey for the rest of the season . In the 2008/09 season he stormed Tribunvocs for Dinamo Riga in the newly established Continental Hockey League .
