The BYD G6 is a mid-range sedan from the Chinese car manufacturer BYD .
history
The vehicle was unveiled as the i6 concept vehicle at the 2010 Beijing Motor Show . The production version G6 was shown at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2010, but with a little delay it went on sale in China on September 26, 2011 as the successor to the BYD F6 . In October 2014 the G6 received a facelift.
The sedan shares the platform with the SUV BYD S6, which was also released in 2011 .
BYD Si Rui
Based on the G6, BYD presented the luxury version BYD Si Rui at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2012 . It is one centimeter longer and only available with the 113 kW (154 hp) 1.5-liter turbo engine. It was on the market in China from April 20, 2013.
