history

The place was founded around 1710/15. The place was first mentioned by name in 1718 as "the new mill behind the village". In 1741 it was called "Hinder-Mühl" and since 1820 "Bachmühle".

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Bachmühle belonged to Schlauersbach. The mill had the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste office in Windsbach as the landlord. Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Bachmühle received the number 17 of the place Schlauersbach when the house numbers were assigned. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach .

As part of the community edict , Bachmühle was assigned to the Immeldorf tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Immeldorf, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Bachmühle was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community of Schlauersbach . On April 1, 1971, this was incorporated into the Lichtenau market as part of the regional reform .

The original mill has not been preserved.
