Zandtmühle (colloquially: Tsantmíl ) is a district of the market Lichtenau in the district of Ansbach , Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Zandtbach , a right tributary of the Franconian Rezat . There is a solar field in the north. A community road leads to Weidenmühle (1 km east) or to another community road (0.4 km north-west) that leads to Zandt (0.4 km south-west) or the district road AN 14 (0.4 km north-east).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1473 as "Zantmül" with the meaning to the mill on the Zandtbach . Nothing is left of this original mill. The current flour mill was built in 1860. The mill operation has meanwhile been stopped.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Zandtmühle belonged to Zandt . It had the Ansbach owner von Förster as landlord. When the house numbers were assigned at the beginning of the 19th century, the property was assigned numbers 1 and 2 for the town of Zandt.

As part of the community edict, Zandtmühle was assigned to the Saxony tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Saxony, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Zandtmühle was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Unterrottmannsdorf . This was incorporated into the municipality of Lichtenau on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform .
