history

The place was first mentioned in a document in the Würzburg fief book from 1317 as "Strůthof". The determining word of the place name is the Middle High German word "strut" (= bushes, thickets).

The high court and the manorial power exercised the nuremberg nursing office Lichtenau (main team Saxony). The property was listed as "sornt hoff" in the Salbuch of the Lichtenau nursing office from 1515. According to the official description of the Lichtenau Care Office from 1748, the property was already used as a sheep farm. Lichtenau citizens had ten shares in it, a Weißenburg citizen and a farmer from Rutzendorf each had one share.

As part of the municipal edict, Stritthof was assigned to the Lichtenau tax district formed in 1808 . He also belonged to the rural community of Lichtenau , which was founded in 1810 . In 1818 Boxbrunn submitted an application to form a separate municipality with Weickershof and Stritthof, but this was rejected.
