In the northeast there is a small industrial area, behind it is the Salzleite corridor . State road 2223 , which leads from Windsbach to Ansbach , runs directly north of Malmersdorf . Community roads lead to Lichtenau (1.5 km west), Immeldorf (1 km east) and Waltendorf (0.4 km south-east). In 2011 the whole place was declared a 30 km / h zone.

history

The place is first mentioned by name in 1210 as "Malbresdorf", in 1303 as "Mahelbrehtsdorf" and as "Malvisdorf", 1317 as "Mahelbrechtesdorf", 1334 as "Malbrehstorf", 1335 as "Malversdorf", 1450 as "Malbersdorff" and 1452 for the first time as "Malmersdorff". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Mahalbreth, which is to be assumed as the founder of the settlement. Around 800 AD it is documented for Malmersdorf and Waltendorf that they belonged to the original parish of Saxony , which means that it can be assumed that they were founded before the 8th century.

In Malmersdorf, Heilsbronn Monastery acquired a small estate from Heinrich Plepping and his wife Adelheid in 1335, a castle count's fief, the proceeds of which were intended to serve the monastery hospital to better care for the sick.

In the Salbuch of the Nuremberg Nursing Office Lichtenau from 1515 9 subject families are specified for Malmersdorf: 7 subjects were subordinate to the imperial city of Nuremberg, 2 subjects to the Lords of Eyb zu Sommersdorf .

In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach monastery office in Heilsbronn from 1608, 1 Köbler is given for Malmersdorf , who was subordinate to the Heilsbronn monastery administrator. The properties of other landlords are not listed.

In the official description of the Lichtenau nursing office from 1748, the place is part of the Immeldorf main team. He formed a community with Waltendorf . In Malmersdorf there were 11 subject families, 9 of which were from Nuremberg.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were twelve properties and a community shepherd's house in Malmersdorf. The high court and the village and community rulership was exercised by the Lichtenau nursing office. The landlords were the imperial city of Nuremberg (Lichtenau nursing office: 2 courtyards, 5 estates; state alms office: 1 courtyard, 2 half courtyards), the Heilsbronn monastery administration office (1 small fisherman's estate ) and the manor Frohnhof of the Lords of Eyb (1 empty building ).

In 1806 Malmersdorf came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict , Malmersdorf was assigned to the Immeldorf tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Immeldorf, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Malmersdorf with Büschelbach and Waltendorf broke away from Immeldorf and formed a rural community. It was subject to the Heilsbronn Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and the Windsbach Rent Office in the financial administration . From 1862 to 1879 Malmersdorf was administered by the Heilsbronn district office, since 1880 by the Ansbach district office (renamed the Ansbach district in 1938 ) and the Heilsbronn rent office (1920–1929: Heilsbronn tax office , from 1929: Ansbach tax office ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Heilsbronn until 1879, 1880–1956 district court Heilsbronn , since 1956 district court Ansbach . The municipality had an area of 4.992 km². In the course of the regional reform , the municipality of Malmersdorf was incorporated into Lichtenau on April 1, 1971.
