Bavelse Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Tybjerg Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Suså Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into Næstved Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

150 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Bavelse Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Næsby Sogn in the north, Glumsø Sogn in the east, Skelby Sogn in the south-east and Gunderslev Sogn in the south .
