Sankt Mortens Sogn ( dt .: Sankt Martins municipality ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the town of Næstved on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Tybjerg Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Næstved Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into the "new" Næstved Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

Of the 43,803 inhabitants of Næstved, 8,594 live in the parish of Sankt Mortens (as of January 1, 2020).

In the parish is the church "Sankt Mortens Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are Sankt Peders Sogn in the north, Rønnebæk Sogn in the south-east, Sankt Jørgens Sogn and Vejlø Sogn in the south and Fodby Sogn in the north-west .
