Vallensved Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Øster Flakkebjerg Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Næstved Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which became part of the “new” Næstved Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

582 inhabitants live in the parish, 215 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Vallensved Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are in the north Gunderslev Sogn , in the east Herlufsholm Sogn , in the southeast Fodby Sogn , in the south Karrebæk Sogn and in the west Hyllinge Sogn .
