Snesere Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Bårse Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Fladså Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was incorporated into Næstved Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform .

2696 inhabitants live in the parish, 1655 of them in the town of Tappernøje (as of January 1, 2020). The church “Snesere Kirke” is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Everdrup Sogn in the north and Mogenstrup Sogn and Hammer Sogn in the west , and Bårse Sogn , Beldringe Sogn and Præstø Sogn in the neighboring Vordingborg municipality to the south .
