Herlufsholm Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Øster Flakkebjerg Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Næstved Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which became part of the “new” Næstved Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

6385 people live in the parish, most of them belong to the 43,803 inhabitants of Næstved, especially the district of Lille Næstved ( German: Klein Næstved ) (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Herlufsholm Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are Gunderslev Sogn and Skelby Sogn in the north, Rislev Sogn in the northeast, Holsted Sogn in the east, Sankt Peders Sogn in the south and Fodby Sogn and Vallensved Sogn in the west .
