Beira Interior Norte is a Portuguese sub-region and part of the Centro Região and the District of Guarda . In the north it borders on Douro , in the east on Spain , in the south on Beira Interior Sul and Cova da Beira and in the west on Serra de Estrela and Dão-Lafões . The area of ​​the sub-region is 4251 km². In 2001, 115,326 people lived in Beira Interior Norte. The sub-region consists of nine circles:
