Belgian Football Cup 1998/99

The Belgian Football Cup 1998/99 was the 43rd edition of the competition. It started in early August with the first group matches and ended with the final on May 30, 1999 in Brussels .

Defending champion KRC Genk lost in the semi-finals to the later winner of the trophy, Lierse SK . Lierse was successful for the second time in his third participation in the finals; the first victory in this competition was exactly 30 years ago. Final opponent Standard Liège was in its twelfth final and lost for the seventh time. By winning the cup, Lierse qualified for the 1999/2000 UEFA Cup .
