The Bucheggberg district in the canton of Solothurn is a rural, Protestant area that is almost completely surrounded by the canton of Bern . It belongs to the Amtei Bucheggberg-Wasseramt , the main town is Buchegg .
geography
The comparatively sparsely populated district of Bucheggberg extends from Lüsslingen to the southwest of the canton capital on the Bucheggberg range of hills in the Mediterranean region , which gives it its name, from northeast to southwest. On the southeast side, the district is bounded by the Limpachtal . The northern boundary of the district is the Aare . The district is only connected to the rest of the canton of Solothurn in the north and northeast.
