action

Malcolm Turner is an FBI agent known for his ability to disguise himself beyond recognition for his investigations. Together with his colleague John, he is assigned to track down Lester Vesco, who has just escaped from prison. Vesco was sentenced to life imprisonment after he murdered two people in a bank robbery - the whereabouts of the million-dollar booty from the bank robbery could never be determined. They are now trying to get to him through his ex-girlfriend Sherry Pierce, who is suspected to have been his accomplice. However, she rushed to leave her apartment with her son Trent when she learned of the outbreak. Sherry's closest known relative is her grandmother, Hattie Mae Pierce, who lives in Cartersville . In a house across the street, the two agents take a stand. When Hattie Mae leaves her house, Malcolm breaks into her and places hidden cameras and microphones in the house.

When Hattie Mae later left town for two weeks to help a friend, the two had the opportunity to tap into her phone. When they are at their house, Hattie Mae's phone rings and her granddaughter Sherry says on her answering machine that she is nearby and would have liked to stop by. At that moment Malcolm answers the phone with a disguised voice and pretends to be Hattie Mae, who is inviting her over. Malcolm disguises himself as Hattie Mae, also with the help of a mask that is very similar to Hattie Mae. When Sherry arrives with her son, he tries to get information about Vesco, which does not succeed. Later, the loot from the bank robbery is found hidden in a box belonging to Sherry's son, but Sherry claims that he did not know anything about it. One day the real Hattie Mae comes back, at the same time Vesco has found out the whereabouts of Sherry and appears there too. Malcolm finally manages to arrest Vesco, but Sherry is disappointed that Malcolm lied to her the whole time and that she apparently believed she was complicit. Malcolm later attends a church service that Sherry is also present at. He confesses his love to her in front of everyone and they both kiss.

Reviews

“The other day I was [...] at the WOM [...] and saw two delightfully orthographically incorrect signs:“ German Videos ”and“ English Videos ”(sic!). Why am I telling you this? Because against these pluralistic total dropouts, the possessive idiot apostrophe in the German loan title Big Mama's Haus looks downright suspicious of elementary school graduation. And so we can learn by analogy: It can always get worse. Even at Big Momma's House , things could have been much worse: the film could have been longer. "

“This is Charley's aunt's humor brand with strong silicone inserts. There's not much to laugh about at this extremely flat comedy. Most of them will only notice this in the cinema, however. The German money that [sic!] Taurus Film put into this top production is a specialty. "

"Brainless and humorless comedy attempt. The supposed gags are based solely on the fact that a thin young man disguises himself as a fat old woman. "
