history

In 1818 there were 68 inhabitants in what was then Grasgirren, in 1907 there were already 148. In 1909 the manor district of Dinglauken (1938–1946 Altdingelau , since 1946: Sarodoschnoje) was incorporated into the manor district of Grasgirren, and in 1928 both manor districts became a new rural municipality united. The population increased from 133 in 1925 to 313 in 1933 and was 235 in 1939.

On June 3, 1938 (officially confirmed on July 16, 1938) Grasgirren was given the new name "Dingelau" for political and ideological reasons. It belonged to the district of Dinglauken until 1939 , then it came to the district of Eschingen (until 1936 Eszeningken , 1936–1938 Eschningken , since 1946: Kadymka), but in the same district Darkehmen (1939–1945 district Angerapp ) in the administrative district Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia located.

As a result of the Second World War , the place came under Soviet administration and in 1946 was named " Borok ". Until 2009 it was incorporated into the Bagrationovsky soviet (Dorfsovjet Bagrationowo ( Wikischken , 1938-1946 Wiecken )), then came due to an administrative and structural reform in the Kaliningrad Oblast as a "settlement" named place to the Gavrilowskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Bagrationowo) in the Rajon Osjorsk .

church

Until 1945 Grasgirren / Dingelau was almost without exception Protestant . The village was one of 23 places in the Wilhelmsberg parish (since 1946: Jablonowka) and belonged to the Darkehmen parish (1938–1946 Angerapp , since 1946: Osjorsk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Johannes Schenk .

During the Soviet era all church life was forced to come to a standstill. It was not until the 1990s that new Protestant communities formed in the Kaliningrad Oblast, of which the one in Kadymka ( Eszerningken / Escherningken , 1938–1946 Eschingen ) is closest to Borok. It has integrated itself into the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER). The responsible rectory is that of the Salzburg Church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ).
