Cordoba is located in Bolívar , a three-hour drive south of Cartagena and has an average temperature of 28 ° C. history

Cordoba was founded on January 1st, 1756 by Don Antonio de la Torre y Miranda with the name Tetón. The name was derived from the last local chief, who was defeated around 1540.

The community was established in 1908, during which time the name Córdoba was also established, derived from General José Maria Córdoba , who took part in the independence struggle and defeated the Spaniards in the Battle of Tenerife .
