The Canon EOS D2000 (also Kodak Professional DCS 520 ) is a digital SLR camera from the Japanese manufacturer Canon , which has been sold exclusively on the Japanese market since March 1998. A little later it was available worldwide. Only the sister model Canon EOS D6000 (identical in construction to Kodak Professional DCS 560), also released in 1998, was only available on the Japanese market.

technical features

The camera has a 2- megapixel - CCD image sensor in APS-C format. The format factor is 1.6. EF lenses from various manufacturers can be connected to the EF bayonet .

The images from the camera are saved on PCMCIA -ATA Type I, II and III cards. The official memory limit was 340 MB, but this can now be easily expanded with larger cards. The camera has a FireWire connection and has a monophonic audio recording function. The dimensions of the camera are 16.1 cm × 9.2 cm × 17.4 cm (W × D × H); it weighs about 1.7 kg. The housing shape is based on that of the in-house model Canon EOS-1N .
