The Canon EOS 1200D (in Japan EOS Kiss X70 , in the USA EOS Rebel T5 ) is a digital SLR camera from the Japanese manufacturer Canon , which was launched in Germany at the end of March 2014. On March 10, 2016, its successor, the Canon EOS 1300D , was announced, which was released in April 2016.
