The Canon EOS 7D Mark II is a digital SLR camera from the Japanese manufacturer Canon , which was launched in November 2014 as the successor to the EOS 7D .
technical features
The camera allows a series frame rate of 10 frames per second and videos in 1080p resolution with up to 60 frames / s. The autofocus adjusts the image sharpness even during a video recording (no video autofocus at 1080p and 50 or 60 frames / s). The camera has been redesigned, but its technology is partly based on the EOS-1D X model .
The camera also has the following features:
- APS-C - CMOS image sensor
- continuous recording of 10 frames per second
- ISO 100–16,000 (expandable to 51,200 using a special function)
- integrated sensor cleaning
- Compatible with all EF / EF-S lenses and EX Speedlite flashes (with integrated transmitter)
- 65 auto focus cross sensors (central sensor as double cross sensor, sensitive up to -3LW)
- EOS iTR AF (Al-Servo tracking taking into account color, distance and face information)
- Dust and splash-proof housing
- changeable screen; available in two versions
- Exposure measurement with 150,000 pixel measurement sensor (RGB + IR) with flicker detection
- Quiet recording modes for single and series pictures
- Connections for external microphone and headphones
- three "Custom" memory locations (C1… C3) for quick adjustment of the camera
- HDMI output with uncompressed signal ( 4: 2: 2 )
- Servo autofocus for video recording (not for 1080p and 50 or 60fps)
- integrated GPS receiver, compass
- HDR mode
- Use of CompactFlash cards as well as SD , SDHC or SDXC memory cards in two independent slots
- 2 × DIGIC -6 processor

Individual evidence
- ↑ Canon (among other manufacturers) counts the subpixels of each pixel, i.e. H. the red, green and blue channel of each pixel individually, and therefore specifies the rear display with 345,600 [pixels] × 3 [colors] = 1,036,800 or approx. 1,040,000 pixels.
