Carlo Schmid-Sutter (often just Carlo Schmid ; born March 11, 1950 in Heiden ; entitled to live in Oberegg AI ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ).
biography
Carlo Schmid, lic. Jur. from the University of Freiburg, was a member of the Great Council of Appenzell Innerrhoden from 1979 to 1995 ; In 1984/1986, 1988/1990 and 1992/1994 he presided over the council. From 1984-2013 he was also as a bailiff in the Ethics Committee of Appenzell Inner Rhodes, where he headed the Department of Education. Daniel Fässler became his successor as governing Landammann .
From 1980 to 2007 he was a member of the Council of States , which he also presided over in 1999/2000. From 1992 to 1994 he was President of CVP Switzerland. In addition to other mandates, he now presides over the Federal Electricity Commission (Elcom).
