Christian Erdt

Christian Erdt (* 1987 in Furth im Wald ) is a German actor .

Life

Christian Erdt, who grew up in his birthplace Furth im Wald , had been a member of the Bavarian Youth Theater for four years since he was 16. During his school days there, a total of six works were created there as part of international theater and film projects. He was twice a guest at the Divadlo Festival in Pilsen ( Czech Republic ).

After graduating from high school , he completed his acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna from 2008 to 2012 . During his training he took part in several theater productions at the Max Reinhardt Seminar. In 2010 he appeared at the Theater in der Josefstadt as Moritz Stiefel in a production of Spring Awakening . He also appeared at the workshop days of the Vienna Burgtheater .

He had his first permanent engagement from the 2012/13 season in the "SchauspielSTUDIO" at the Schauspiel Frankfurt , where he a. a. appeared in productions by Jorinde Dröse , Andrea Breth , Christoph Mehler and Ersan Mondtag . His roles at the Schauspiel Frankfurt included a. a. the Krabat in the play of the same name based on the story by Otfried Preussler , Giselher in Die Nibelungen , Leutnant Hartmann in Des Teufels General and the son Erhart Borkmann in Henrik Ibsen's play John Gabriel Borkman .

From the 2014/15 season he was engaged at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden , where he played the title role in Clavigo (2014, director: Hakan Savaş Mican ), Hamlet (2015, director: Nicolas Brieger ) and Eilif in Mother Courage and Her Children ( 2016, directed by Thorleifur Örn Arnarsson ).

At the beginning of the 2016/17 season he moved to the Residenztheater in Munich . There he first played Hugo in The Dirty Hands (2016, directed by Martin Kušej ) and Haimon in Antigone (2016, directed by Hans Neuenfels ). In the 2016/17 season he took over Damis in Tartuffe (premiere: June 2017, director: Mateja Koleznik ) and worked with the Croatian director Oliver Frljić (2017, Mauser ). In the season 2017/18 he was the bishop in the balcony of Jean Genet (directed by Ivica Buljan , with Mathilde Bundschuh as a partner). In the 2019/20 season he took on the role of brother-in-law Vlas in a new production of Maxim Gorki's play Sommergäste at the Munich Residenztheater .

In addition to his work at the theater, Erdt also worked in several film and television productions, so u. a. in the role of the young Murot in the award-winning Tatort: ​​Born in pain (2014) by director Florian Schwarz . In the ARD thriller Never More As Always (2015) he was seen as Jan, the film son of Edgar Selge and Franziska Walser , whose relationship with his parents is suffering from the persistent hostility and aggressive atmosphere. In Munich Police Call 110: Das Gespenst der Freiheit (first broadcast: August 2018) he played the charismatic Kolthoff, the intellectual head of a group of young neo-Nazis . In the 11th season of the TV series Die Bergretter (2019), Erdt took on one of the episode roles as young mountain guide Ben Huber, who helps a young woman who is trying to escape her psychopathic husband to escape.

As a speaker he was u. a. active for Bayerischer Rundfunk and DeutschlandRadio Kultur . Erdt lives in Munich .
