Christian Heiner Wolf

Christian Heiner Wolf (* 1971 in Dresden ) is a German actor .

Life

Christian Heiner Wolf grew up in Dresden, Munich and Maysville, Missouri. With his parents, both musicians, he came to Munich in 1977 after moving from the GDR . After high school and training as a hotel manager in Munich, he completed a graduate degree at the Technical University of Munich in the subject Geography . During his studies he took classes in acting and speaking technique. From 2001 to 2008 he played at various German independent theater stages.

The first work in front of the camera began in 2002 at the HFF Munich , the HFF Potsdam and for television. The diploma film Suicide Club by director Olaf Saumer with Wolf in one of the leading roles was made for the Kassel Academy of Art and won the Ecumenical Jury Prize at the 2010 Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival in Saarbrücken (until 2014: Interfilm Prize) and was subsequently shown in German cinemas. In the movie Stellungswechsel (director: Maggie Peren ) he played alongside Sebastian Bezzel . After several engagements in TV series, he became known from 2017 for his role as Pater Benedikt in the TV series Hindafing , which was filmed in two seasons in and around Munich from 2017 to 2019 with Maximilian Brückner in the leading role. In 2018, director Luzie Loose's film Swimming, played a desperate father alongside Lisa Vicari and Jonathan Berlin . In the 2019 television film Irgendwas Bleibt Immer , Christian Heiner Wolf, directed by Thomas Kronthaler , stood in front of the camera together with Lisa Maria Potthoff , Manuel Rubey and Justus von Dohnanyi .

He is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS).
