history

Jerry Seinfeld got the idea for the show in 2002. The platform pages Facebook and Yahoo! were of the opinion that the series had too little chance of success and rejected the project. Even Howard Schultz , Starbucks chairman, declined the opportunity to sponsor the show. The streaming media platform Sony Crackle gave the show the green light. The first episode was released on July 19, 2012. The car manufacturer Acura ( Honda ) was finally won as a sponsor , which also gave Seinfeld creative freedom in the creation of commercials and product placements. Overall, Sony Crackle produced new seasons until 2017.

In January 2017 it was announced that the show Comedians on Coffee Ride will switch from Crackle to Netflix starting with the tenth season of the show. In January 2018, the first nine seasons were published on Netflix, on July 6, 2018, the entire tenth season.
