Cristian Javier Simari Birkner (born October 4, 1980 in San Carlos de Bariloche , Río Negro Province ) is an Argentine ski racer . He is the eldest of the Simari Birkner siblings, while his sisters María Belén , Macarena and Angélica are also alpine skiers.

biography

The Argentine is currently the best skier in South America . Overall, he won the overall ranking of the FIS South America Cup 16 times , ten times in a row between 2004 and 2013. In addition to 65 races, he won a number of discipline classifications. In 2001 Simari Birkner achieved two third places in the slalom in the European Ski Cup , and he also won numerous Argentine championships.

World cup

In the World Cup Cristian Javier Simari Birkner drives since the 1998-99 season . He is almost exclusively in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom as well as in the combination or super combination and only very rarely in the super-G and downhill disciplines .
