Czech Hockey Games
The Czech Hockey Games (earlier names Česká Pojišťovna Cup , Pragobanka Cup , Pragobanka Tour ) are since 1994 in annual Czech Republic held forming Hockey -Vierländerturnier at which usually the national teams from Sweden , Finland , Russia and the Czech Republic to participate. The tournament has been organized since 1997 as part of the also annual Euro Hockey Tour . EHT also includes the Channel One Cup in Moscow , the Karjala Cup in Finland and the Sweden Hockey Games in Sweden .
Until 2003, the tournament in Zlín was held in the Zimní stadium Luďka Čajky . Then it moved to the ČEZ Aréna in Pardubice , before the tournament took place in the Tipsport Arena Liberec from 2005 . The tournament of the 2009/10 season was held in the newly built KV Arena in Karlovy Vary .
Until the 2006/07 season, the tournament took place in August or September, after which it was played at the end of the season in April. Therefore, there was no tournament in 2007. In the 2009/10 season, due to the Olympic Winter Games, the match date was again set to August – September, so in 2010 there was again no tournament. Between 2011 and 2013 the competition took place again in spring. In the 2013/14 Olympic season, the tournament was again postponed to the start of the season. After that, there was no more event until 2017 because the structure of the Euro Hockey Tour was changed. The tournament has been sponsored by Carlson Oil since 2017 and played at the end of the season, just before the start of the Ice Hockey World Championship.
