The Izvestia Cup 1977 ( Russian Турнир на приз газеты Известия , German: tournament for the prize of the newspaper “ Izvestia ” , German Izvestia , ie. News ) was the 11th edition of the international ice hockey tournament , which this year from 16. to on Dec. 21 took place the 1977th In addition to the Soviet Sbornaja , the national teams of Finland , Sweden and Czechoslovakia took part again. Also this year, the Canadian Nordiques de Québec , the winner of the WHA , a non-European team was invited.
